Manager - Special Projects - Centre for Construction Work Health and Safety Research - RMIT University

Contracting to the Centre for Construction Work Health and Safety Research at RMIT University, my approach is to develop strategic alliances for the projects that the Centre undertakes. The Centre currently has an active membership from a range of teaching and non teaching staff covering a dynamic set of projects ranging from commercial research to more formal partnerships, including developing creative digital media. 

My role is to develop governance structures around the projects, enhance stakeholder relationships, and implement protocols and procedures (including the use of online technologies) to coordinate industry partnerships to ensure the Centre is well placed to consistently deliver quality outputs.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop industry relationships
- Manage client facing relationships and inter-college stakeholders 
- Coordinate individual research projects 
- Design project methodologies and approach
- Develop reporting framework and associated (online) collaborative methodologies
- Develop broad business development opportunities relevant to the research
- Coordinate and administer research procedures including end-to-end contract negotiation, applications to Human Research Ethics committees and Centre/project budgets
- Develop Centre style guide and report template

Consulting Project Coordinator - Architects Without Frontiers

Advising on project management and governance issues for the Cakaudrove Women’s Resource Centre (CWRC) in Savusavu. The CWRC project comprises the design and construction of built structures and associated landscaping and civil infrastructure to a site in the town of Savusavu, on the island of Vanua Levu, Fiji.

Senior Project Manager - Stream Three - Digital communications strategy - City of Melbourne

Contracting to the City of Melbourne, this work progresses the digital communications strategy by project managing a suite of four core projects.  These projects include reviewing the Corporate internet and intranet sites, the What's On site and developing  documentation around the requirements for a content management system  that will deliver a refreshed approach to the digital channels of the  City of Melbourne.  James Harley and Associates was the Senior project manager for this project.

Senior Project Manager - Digital communications strategy -City of Melbourne

Contracting to boutique consulting company, Briarbird & Co, the digital communications strategy sought to deliver an integrated approach for managing and effectively exploiting the digital assets of the City of Melbourne across a  number of different channels and mediums. This included refreshing the flagship What's On website within tight timelines and delivering strategic consulting services to the management team.

Project Manager - Corporate Website Cleanup Project - City of Melbourne

Contracting to boutique consulting company, Briarbird & Co, the Corporate Website Cleanup Project was undertaken to tidy up old content, improve existing content, identify possible new functionality, and establish a process for ongoing maintenance for the City of Melbourne corporate website. The methodology for the project was developed in consultation with the work areas and provided sufficient flexibility to cater for different skill and competency levels across the organisation. The project identified more than 170 Subject Matter Experts and 60 approvers across approximately 100 work areas.

Project Manager - Continuous Improvement Plan of SIHIP, Northern Territory Government - RMIT University

Development of a scoping document and continuous improvement / benchmarking matrix for the Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program. Project undertaken in association with Northern Territory Government.

Co-Curator/Designer - Albury City Council

Design and curatorial plan for the Albury Art Gallery Collection space.

IT Project Manager - Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment

Implementation of a new content management system for the Our Water Our Future website (www.ourwater.vic.gov.au).

Project dates: September 2007 - March 2008


IT Project Director- State Services Authority (Victoria)

Implementation of a suite of projects for the SSA Family of Websites including SSA Corporate (www.ssa.vic.gov.au), Graduate Recruitment Scheme (www.graduates.vic.gov.au) and the Victorian Government Careers website (www.careers.vic.gov.au). Included the development of the ICT strategy.

Project Manager Cultural Broadband Network - Victorian Department of Premier & Cabinet

Establishment of a Virtual Private Network between the Cultural Agencies of the Victorian Government including the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne Museum, National Gallery of Victoria, State Library of Victoria, Victorian Arts Centre Trust.

Project dates: 2002 - 2004
